How does it feel not having shoes at all?

Watching other girls wearing nice, cozy shoes, as your feet fry up on the boiling pavement?

How does it feel knowing you do not deserve shoes, that shoes are for others, not for you?

How do you feel when you see the soles of your feet, when you touch them and feel them, all hard, rough as sandpaper, cracked? Do you feel pity for your soles, miss how soft and smooth they used to be a few months ago, or are proud of what they have become now, how they look and feel?

How does it feel, knowing that the winter comes, the cold comes, and your feet will remain naked, helpless?
